Is Forticore Security licensed?
Yes. Forticore Security is fully licensed and insured. We hold Victorian private security business licence VIC-Z77-541-40S, issued by Victoria Police, and Victorian labour hire licence VICLHL11249. Our team consists of trained and licensed security officers.
Do security guards need a licence in Victoria?
Yes. Under the Private Security Act 2004, anyone working as a security guard, crowd controller or in other private security roles in Victoria must hold a private security licence for that activity, and security businesses must also be licensed. Licensing is administered by the Licensing and Regulation Division (LRD) of Victoria Police.
How do I check a security company's licence in Victoria?
Search the Victoria Police Register of Licence, Registration and Permit Holders. It is searchable by name or licence number and shows the licence type, the authorised activities and the expiry date. Only engage businesses and officers licensed for the work they will do.
